Part 2:
Hey lads, I’m back with my 2nd dish-out over holiday trips, destinations and vacationing ideas. Holiday trip is not all about fun, excitement and relaxation, a little of it hangs about traipsing around the retail outlets or exploring traditional bazaars. As I traveller, I adore shopping small bits to keep my travelling experience alive. I don’t miss to buy souvenirs and I love my souvenir gallery at my home. In fact, I would advise that souvenirs are the best gifts you could offer to your loved ones. Today I am continuing with the best travelling destinations across the globe. However, there are countless out there, but some of the best that I’ve experienced are right below:
London – United Kingdom: London is one of the exceptional destinations that has kept history and present alive together. In London, you could tour in the past and you can live the present, thus, there is a beautiful collision between history and arts & crafts, fashion & food and good British ale.
From crown jewels to Buckingham Palace and Camden Market, a perfect plan for all, no matter what culture you belong to. Traditional or culture addicts should go to Tate Modern, Sherlock Holmes Museum and the Royal Opera House. For shopping, you could traipse down to Oxford Street Shops and food lovers can try Harrod’s or try some of the street stalls for London classic flavors.
Beijing – China: Beijing offers a perfect mix of urban and traditional beats. There is a wealth of history, both ancient and more recent ones, offering you places like the Hall of Preserving Harmony, Forbidden City and the Summer Palace to Tiananmen Square and Chairman Mao Memorial Hall.
For the most affordable market experience, stroll down to the Dirt Market and the touristy Silk Market. Don’t forget to drop your jaw at Beijing’s artistic parks and food streets.
Paris – France: Paris offers a perfect combination of leisure and liveliness. From exquisite meals and fining dining to a walk at Lourve, Paris is a place where you go good on toes, the much you walk, the more you like it.
Sightseeing and marveling at symbolic structures like Eiffel Tower or Arc de Triomphe, a bay walk along the Seine, you’ll be amazed to experience nature, history and architectural mastery walk hand in hand in Paris-France. For more, you could walk to Notre Dame, shop at Marché Biologique Rasp ail or go to Marché aux Puces de Montreuil for some bargain shopping. Cap up your day with a risqué show at the Moulin Rouge.
Berlin – Germany: Berlin is a skittish city with a mix of fashion trends to architectural masterpieces and political history. But there’s a lot to explore and find out in Berlin, a cave to dig out more and more.
Berlin Wall is a must watch place in Berlin, reminding of its hyper-charged postwar environment and lifestyle with a bulk of graffiti art, thus a symbolic view to most of its tourists. No matter what you quit or skip in Berlin, don’t miss a visit at Weltzeituhr (world time) Clock, topped by a model of the solar system. Once you are done with your historical digs, pay a visit to a 16th century restaurant – Zur Letzten Instanz and treat yourself with some Berlin flavors.
Florence – Italy: Florence is famous for Michelangelo and the famous art works. The Galleria dell’ Academia dedicatedly exhibits state of art collection of Michelangelo, entombed within Basilica di Santa Croce.
If you love photography, go for Ponte Vecchio Bridge and if you are looking to shop a few gifts for your loved ones, window shop at Piazza Santo Spirito-if you like anything, grab it! Once you are in Florence, you would smell good food and spices most of the time. Olive oil and oregano bread works great in Florence.
Barcelona – Spain: Barcelona is truly a dreamlike place, most suitable for romantic plus exciting couples. The city is rich in architecture as most of its areas are designed by Antoni Gaudi-one of the exceptional architectural designers in the world.
You would be amazed to find some interesting street performers with flamboyant costumes and props, offering entertainment along with the exciting Spanish dinner delights. Fall through the looking glass to experience the enlightening Church of the Sacred Family. Don’t skip a walk to Park Guell and a short day out at Las Ramblas.
St. Petersburg – Russia: St. Petersburg is the second largest state of Russia and is known as a cultural heart. With some of the famous architectural masterpieces and gems like the Kazan Cathedral and the Winter Palace, St. Petersburg has a lot to facilitate or engage travellers for weeks.
If you appreciate art, you must save time to explore the magnificent art collection of the Hermitage. St. Petersburg nightlife is thrilling with fine dining restaurants, pubs and other cultural spots.
Dubai – United Arab Emirates : Dubai is famous as both, a business destination and a tourist paradise, offering unlimited opportunities for entertainment, shopping, fine dining, historical attractions and much more. If you are a budget traveler and you are craving to make the most of your money, Dubai is one of the best tourist destinations in the world. From rugged mountains to never ending sand dunes, from sandy beaches & water splash to bustling nightlife, Dubai has almost everything to entertain you at your max!
From latest architectural wonders to historical heritage and museums, Dubai is a land to nourish all age groups and taste!
As many think, there are best shopping malls in Dubai, but this isn’t it. There are a lot of places and malls in the world that you could try to feed your shopping crave. I hope you find my holiday roadmap interesting with a series of destinations across the globe. Happy Shopping!
