The coldest months in Brisbane are from June to August. Temperatures during these months hit highs of 20-21 and lows of 10-12 degrees Celsius. The city experiences torrential rains from the months of December to February which are the wettest months.
It is clear that the hottest months in Brisbane are also the wettest making this period probably the worst time to travel to Brisbane. The torrential rains dump a lot of water in the city leading to flooding. You can also visit during these months if you are looking for a tropical adventure as the heavy rains provide the much needed relief from uber-hot summers. The month of January can be punishing in terms of the amount of sunshine. The temperatures hit 30 degrees Celsius for a whopping 17 days of the month.
