Holidays in the island are characterized by peaceful days in the sun, enjoying its beaches, but also by seizing the day and going on various tours in Gran Canaria to help you discover many hidden attractions.
All ours tours start in the tourist zones located in the South of the island. From there we head to the interior or cruise around Gran Canaria’s coasts. Any of these are recommended to help you discover the island’s magic and its most emblematic places.
One of them is the Hilights Route of Gran Canaria. The bus heads for the North of the island, until it reaches the Gran Canaria’s capital: Las Palmas, a city to be discovered. From there we go to Arucas and the banana planting zones where the great symbol of Gran Canaria is cultivated. Later on we go on to discover the beautiful village of Teror and the Vallesco caves. We will also climb the interior lands up to 1.500 meters on the Mirador de la Becerra, where one can admire the Roque Nublo landscape and if the day is clear, down the road, you can see Teide in the nearby island of Tenerife. After, we will continue to head South and from the Mirador de la Degollada de la Yegua we can marvel before a panoramic view of the this whole island zone.
However, if you only want to visit the capital, then you can try a tour of Gran Canaria’s Las Palmas, in the North end of the island. You get to spend the day at the beautiful historical center where interesting landmarks abound. Through these same streets walked one of the most famous protagonists of history: Christopher Columbus; you can follow his steps throughout the city.
If you want to always keep the ocean waters in sight, then your preferred tour will be a trip around the island. A tour circling the island’s whole coastline. You can visit the romantic Puerto de Mogán and traverse the suggestive landscapes of Agaete, full of cliffs leading to the sea. Another star in this tour is the fishing town of Puerto de las Nieves and of course the actual city of Las Palmas, Gran Canaria. From there we will return to our point of departure in the South tourist zone, following the whole Western coastline.
And finally you can decide to take the VIP Tour and its exciting sights. During this day you can enjoy the charming valley of Guadayeque and visit some of its populated caves of old. We will also travel through the picturesque urban town of Agüimes and discover the innumerable properties of aloe vera, a traditional crop of the region. The day doesn’t end there, we will also visit Firgas and its landmark heritage or Tejada where you can find the Roque Nublo, a charismatic and attractive landscape milestone. We end the tour in Fataga and its unique landscapes. But before returning to your hotel you will have the chance to ride a camel.
